Enhance your student’s spelling skills with the Spelling You See Americana Student Workbooks. These engaging Level D Student Workbooks feature captivating cultural stories that make practicing spelling fun and engaging. Each of the 36 lessons is divided into five parts, A through E, and includes two or four facing pages that are designed to be completed in 15 to 20 minutes.

Each day begins with a Daily Huddle between the student and instructor. Students will also “chunk” the appropriate letter patterns indicated for that day’s lesson and have opportunities for copywork and writing from dictation throughout the week. Through these activities, your student will experience vocabulary development while learning about American history and culture in a rich historical and cultural context.

The Americana Student Workbooks are ideal for instructors who already have the Instructor’s Handbook and need the accompanying student materials.

The Learning Format
Spelling You See’s consistent format guides students through the five essential activities: listening, reading, chunking, copywork, and dictation (presented at the appropriate developmental stage). These activities help students transfer the correct spellings of common words they see in print to long-term memory, enabling them to eventually be able to reproduce the correct spellings in their everyday writing. Lessons are limited to short daily sessions to keep interest and enthusiasm high. There are no word lists to memorize and no weekly tests. Spelling You See is a program based on years of research into how students learn to spell. Students become effective communicators as they grasp the proper spelling of words in the English language.
